Power Window Gear (Toyota MR2 MKI)

I bought a 1986 MR2 which had a problem with the drivers side window
I got the delrin gear which was somewhat easier to replace than I had
feared. Unfortunatly while the window is somewhat better it still
slips halfway up and at the top. Do I need to replace the mating
gear? How hard/expensinve is that?
